David the Assistant Manager was extremely helpful and attentive.
the location and caracter of the building
The location was perfect, very central and we were fortunate to get rooms overlooking the stream that runs through the village centre. Bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable. Hotel very quaint with a lovely open fire at the back, staff very helpful and breakfast delicious.
Very friendly staff, nice food, good breakfast with late service and 11am check-out
Hotel was very central for exploring the Cotswolds.
I was unable to park in the hotel carpark but did find parking 100 metres away.
cosy feel, good breakfast, very friendly & helpful staff
Furniture in restaurant & bar could do with updating
very good location as a base to visit the cotswolds with an attractive location beside a river.
need more car parking for guests
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms are well equipped, no charges for car park, very nice english town!!
asked for a quiet room, but got the loudest one (No. 4: situated at the staircases with slamming doors from kitchen/pub beneath and facing the street with unloading delivery vans and loading garbage trucks - staying there for 15 mins, nice smell, too), no heating until October (no matter how cold it is, fortunately they found a working radiator for me), the water pressure of the power shower is so high, it removed the outer layer of my body skin and damaged my nipples - so it felt anyway -, perfect for fighting fires but unsuitable for long hot showers after a cold day (or night - because of poorly closing windows)
Manager and staff were very helpful and friendly. Good choice of breakfast and restaurant menu. Food was excellent.
There was no sitting room available for hotel residence to relax / read / have a quiet drink. There was a strange clanging noise late at night and early morning. This should be sorted out - heard other guests discussing as well.
We were made to feel welcome, looked after well, but left to our own devices when needed
Staff very friendly, food basic but good, room clean & comfortable and hotel situated on river.
We stayed in Room 9 at the back of the hotel where there appears to be a water tank & cooling system on the roof, at night this is incredibly noisy.
Had difficulties with keys, not opening the door, bad internet connections, very small & walk through a construction site to get into the apartment.
we stayed in the Old Manse Cottage which has 3 rooms in. It was lovely. The breakfasts were really nice and the staff were all helpful.
I would like to have taken my daughter back with us but there are no family rooms otherwise we would have booked another stay while we were there
Very convenient for looking around Bourton-on the-Water and visiting other Cotswold places.
Problem with parking close to hotel. Lot of noise in early morning from street below . Standard of cooking poor and cleanliness of tables in Restaurant needs to be addressed , who supervises the Waitresses?
